CASE STUDY: ADVENTURE QUEST BANNER CAMPAIGN

Artix Entertainment is a leading producer of online RPGs including Adventure Quest.

Objective:

Artix came to CPM Star Network as they were looking for very targeted advertising to drive new members to their online RPG entitled "Adventure Quest". They needed to reach online gamers to bring that audience to their own site and convert them to paid members. Artix had clear goals and was willing to do a large amount of advertising within their desired cost of customer acquisition.

Solution:

Adventure Quest was a perfect fit for CPM Star's gaming audience. CPM Star was able to run a variety of banner ads across its entire network of over 30 sites. As results began to come in, CPM Star's proprietary optimizing ad serving technology targeted locations that generated the highest click rates and converted the most customers to paying Adventure Quest members. This quickly increased memberships and made the campaign even more successful. In order to fulfill Artix's goal of keeping customer acquisition cost down, the campaign was run on a very inexpensive CPC basis. The highly focused targeting allowed this to make sense for both Artix and publishers on the CPM Star network.

Promoting a great online game to an online game audience proved to be as successful as one would imagine. The advertiser has rebooked the campaign on an ongoing basis.
